Her continued popularity
is telling, considering she hasn't showcased any new work
in the last five years. And the fact that her art is instantly
recognized is a testament to her continued success based on
her published body of work. Although unicorns and flying horses
may seem to be the stuff of little girls' dreams, Sue's artwork
appeals to all ages and genders; boys and girls, men and women.
Nicknamed the "unicorn artist" inthe
1980s, Ms. Dawe's work is not limited to that mythical beast.
Her images are filled with fairies, dragons, mermaids, princesses,
cats, native Americans, swans, and much, much more. She is
even inspired by the Star Wars movies and has created art
depicting the noble Jedi of those films.

With a new agent and renewed
enthusiasm, 2006 will be the year of Sue Dawe's comeback -
not that she has really left the public consciousness. We
are currently seeking publishers for a coffee table book of
her work, a company to produce calendars, and marketing for
school notebook supplies.
